Will the video have a watermark?+
We request the clean playback file from the extraction service, so the downloaded MP4 does not contain TikTok's moving watermark.
Do private or region-locked videos work?+
No. Only publicly accessible videos can be extracted. Private, friends-only or removed posts return a friendly error.
Why do short links work?+
Short links redirect to the canonical video. The media server follows the redirect and resolves the final post automatically.
How do I download a TikTok video?+
Tap Share > Copy link on the video, paste the link into the field on this page, then download the HD MP4 once the preview loads.
Can I download a TikTok video as MP3?+
Yes. Use the MP3 · 192 kbps option in the preview card to save the video's audio as a separate MP3 file.
Why is the downloaded video sometimes low resolution?+
The file is taken from the highest-quality stream TikTok provides. If the source video was uploaded at a low resolution, the tool keeps that quality instead of upscaling it.
Are private accounts supported?+
No. Sescepte can only resolve public reels and video posts. Private accounts and age-restricted posts require authentication and are rejected.
Can I download image posts?+
This tool focuses on video. Image carousels and photo posts are detected and rejected with a clear message.
Why might an Instagram link fail?+
Instagram occasionally changes its public embed markup or asks for a login. If that happens, try again later or use a different public post.
How do I download an Instagram Reel?+
Open the reel, choose Copy link from the three-dot menu, paste the URL on this page, then download the HD MP4 once the preview loads.
Does the Reel download include audio?+
Yes. The MP4 keeps the video's own audio track, so speech, voice-over and background music stay in the file.
How do I copy an Instagram post link?+
Tap the three dots on the post and select Copy link. Public reels, video posts and IGTV links are all supported.

Is Sescepte free?+
Yes. TikTok and Instagram downloads are free. You do not need an account, an install, or a payment. The site is funded by advertising.
Do I need an app or an account?+
No. Everything runs in the browser. There is nothing to install and no sign-up form.
Are my downloaded files stored on the server?+
No. Media is processed only while the download link is being prepared. There is no permanent archive, and files are not shared with third parties.
Which platforms are supported?+
TikTok and Instagram are supported. YouTube integration is paused for maintenance, so it is temporarily hidden from the menu.
Can I download private or deleted videos?+
No. Only public posts are processed. Private accounts, friends-only content, age-restricted posts, and removed videos are rejected.
Can I republish what I download?+
Downloading does not grant copyright. Outside personal use — especially for commercial use or republishing — you need permission from the content owner.
